Spring is here. And for some of you, this is the time to get into gear and spring into action. See what I did there?
There's so much to do: spring forward because of daylight savings time starting, spring cleaning because...well, it feels good to accomplish, and getting rid of the old to make room for the new.
So, after you change the time on your ovens and microwaves, and wall clocks, and anything that doesn't automatically update, we can get a handle on spring cleaning. (That was yesterday, btw.)
Dust your ceiling fans. While you're at it, make sure your fans are set for warmer months. Did you know there are two settings? One to push warm air down to you in the winter and one to push cooler air to you during the warmer months? In the spring, or whenever the temperature starts to warm up, make sure your fans are rotating counterclockwise. There's a tiny switch on the collar of the fan right right above the light. How shocking is it that not a lot of people know about this? Did you know?
Get rid of old and expired beauty products. I am in no way enticing you to make room for new products, but also, I'm huge on self care. So, there's that. There should be a small icon on the side of your product that indicates how long to keep it around before tossing it in the trash.
Switch out your bedding. I have a comforter that keeps me nice and warm when it's cold outside, but I absolutely love switching to something a lot lighter once it warms up.
When's the last time you've cleaned your baseboards? Do people still do that? Well, of course, they do. Otherwise, how would it get done?
Clean behind your washer and dryer and then report back here how many socks you recover. 😜
Wipe the top of your fridge.
Switch your wardrobe out in the closet. Create a pile to donate while you're at it.
That's a great start. I mean, don't burn yourself out. Watch some TV, catch some Z's, meditate.
